Hey RockeTalkers!
As we wrap up 2009 and step into 2010, we take this opportunity to give you a glimpse of what goes on, on RockeTalk. Meet new people? Keeping up with friends? Hangout place? Instant Messenger usage? Picture messages? Videos? Games? Discussions? Flirting? What is it that keeps so many people engaged and coming back again and again? What is it that compels them to log in as soon as they open their eyes and sleep with their RockeTalk phones still in hands or next to their ears? Waiting for that Buzz in someone special’s voice? Is the voice factor so addictive? What is it that keeps RockeTalk buzzing? What makes these online connections as strong as, or at times, stronger than family ties.
As we get to the 1 million users mark, there are some interesting patterns that seem to be emerging. New data, user behaviour- from communication to entertainment, from serious debates on social issues to participating in contests, it is a pleasure to interact with all of you and get to know you.
So here is what ‘the-guy-who-is-always-on’ has to say about what goes on:

I wanted to take this opportunity of the arrival of 2010 to highlight a few highlights of “what happens inside RockeTalk?”
A lot of activity occurs and it is hard to categorize what goes on…..so much goes on in the form of personal messages, exchanging ideas, flirting, singing songs, shaayari, jokes, playing contests, listening to talk shows, creating photos and videos, intense debates on various topics, connecting into Yahoo/Gtalk/MSN IM, family members connecting with other family members, following news and weather reports sent out by our users from cities across the world…….the list is long!
Here are some of the statistics that will give you a quantitative idea:
75M messages viewed (or played back) in the last month!
(over 2.4 Million messages in a 24 hour day)
Of these, 22% are voice (or audio messages – that means you guys talked a lot, sang songs, debated a lot……).
Over 11 Million photo/images and videos were viewed in the last month;
Over 3.4 Million profiles were viewed in the last month;
Over 3 Million Buzzes sent last month;
Over 2.6 Million searches for users within RockeTalk were made in the last month;
Over 2.5 Million comments were viewed;
Approx. 1 Million Friend Requests were sent out;
2511 new communities were created within this last month;

Hahaha..that’s my usual behavior… I log onto RT the min i open my eyes and have many a times slept with the phone still buzzing right next to me
It’s definitely an addiction..so much so, that sometimes when I’m sms’ing a friend, I wish i cud just record a voice and send..than typing! ofcrs you guys solved that too with the WAP Share
RockeTalk is soon gonna turn me into a complete lazy bum but I ain’t complaining!!

WOW! Is that true? I mean it is hard to believe that there is so much that goes on. You mean to say those 2-3000 messages per day in my inbox are just a drop in the bucket? And I thought I got the most messages ever
:p On the other hand, I cannot believe that the searches are as few as that
People find me as soon as I log in. Sometimes even before I see myself as online. Are you sure you got that number right? j/k.
All said, I am addicted- in fact there are things that are soooo convenient on RT – I wish my phone’s native bahaviour was as good. For one- the only way I can search for a pic/video from my phone’s gallery is through RT! I wish folks at Nokia are reading this

I must say I was blow away by the talent and knowledge people have. GMehfil is simply mind-blowing. Bona, Shafeeq, Raheeb, Ismail, honey boy and others are just super. First time I heard shaayari in voices from all over the world. Yes, there even girls who are surprisingly good at it radiorocketalk (I found out it is Amita) – niceflower, khushi. Not bad at all. Glad I found this app. Makes my lonely days in Saudi a memory from the past. May ALLAH/God/Rabb/Bhagwan make this a true home for all citizens of the world. Ameen. Peace for all.

That is true. People are very talented. Mehfil community is a very vibrant community with very high participation and views per message. The is a tremendous amount of content- probably most available anywhere, in any one place.

mene ek gp banai but rocketalk admin ne wo gp ko rejected kar diya q ? Usme kuch galat nhi tha mene us gp ko kam se kam 5 bar banaya but 5 bar rejected kar diya q kya hamne koi galat kam kiya ? Plz tell me

Agar aap ki Community reject ho gayi to do reasons ho sakte hain- picture ya discription achhi nahi thi, naam theek nahi tha ya phir moderator ko poori information nahi mili.

badhayi ho rocketalk ! Avi community ne 5 saal pure kiye avi grup ke owner or uske admino ko khub khub abhinandan, or hame ek achhi community banane me jo sath diya iske liye usero ka bahot sukriya sab user ka naam nahi likh sakata kyu ki list bahot lambi hai… Is mouke par jo log grup ke ek hissa huva karte the unko bhi yaad kar raha hu unlogo ki kami aj bhi mahesus hoti…
